These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and River Intel. We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
River Intel is an inland waterway intelligence platform that aggregates live data from federal sources including NOAA, USGS, USACE, and USCG. Features include bridge clearance calculation, lock intelligence, velocity analytics, notice to mariners visualization, port pilotage data, VTS sector mapping, waypoint warnings, and community-sourced observations.
The service is currently in private beta. Features, data availability, and pricing are subject to change. We make no guarantee of uninterrupted access during the beta period.
River Intel aggregates data from official federal sources but makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any data displayed. Specifically:
River Intel is designed for passage planning only. Always verify all navigation-critical information against current official sources before getting underway. You are solely responsible for the safe navigation of your vessel.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RIVER INTEL AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO VESSEL DAMAGE, GROUNDING, ALLISION, COLLISION, INJURY, LOSS OF CARGO, OR REGULATORY PENALTY, EVEN IF RIVER INTEL HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction with the service is to discontinue use. If, notwithstanding the above, River Intel is found liable for any damages, that liability shall be limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.

You must provide accurate and current information when creating an account. River Intel reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these terms.
River Intel offers an optional $4.99/month support tier. This is a voluntary financial contribution to support platform development and is not required for access to core features during the beta period.
You agree not to:
